REDS DOOR is an ambitious organization that provides supportive services to assist with ending homelessness through a new housing program that also includes services like outreach assistance, resource referrals, and limited supportive services in partnership with other organizations and businesses. Our new housing program is created for those who are experiencing homelessness and housing instability, through REDS DOOR, we advocate for individuals and families that are seeking to get back to stability and self-sufficiency.
REDS DOOR has adopted the following mission:
To create and offer a program that combines affordable housing with services and resources that will help those who face complex living challenges or homelessness to get back to stability, become self-sufficient and regain their dignity.
“At REDS DOORS we transform lives, one DOOR at a time.”
REDS DOOR will align with other organizations and agencies, local governments, public housing authorities, local Veterans Affairs office and other nonprofit and community stakeholders to service Dallas, Collin, Tarrant and other surrounding counties that offer program and services for the displaced and those in hardship.
This alliance is part of our Community Partnership Program, where we unite to help end homelessness, stop future homelessness, and break the cycle of instability.
REDS DOOR is a new housing program under the Alpha Female League organization, a Texas non-profit organization founded by Barbara Davis in 2015.
This new housing program was formed after Ms Davis' brother R.E. Davis experienced homelessness in 2021 and prior to that, her sister and others that she knew personally went through it as well or faced financial and housing hardship. Barbara worked as an outreach specialist for an organization that worked with homeless veterans, where she gained more insight on what's missing and the needs associated with this cycle of displacement.
Barbara Davis is the programs lead and advocate, where her brother R.E. Davis has joined her as the Volunteer Outreach Spokesperson.
