THE ALPHA LEAGUES

Alpha Female League youth development programs provides a holistic approach that focuses on creating a developmentally appropriate learning setting for young people. Programming’s are designed to empower and meet young people at every stage of development, and provide supportive services that nourishes them to thrive. Our programs and services gets the communities involved, help build friendships, and strengthen self-worth in addition to developing future leaders. Our workshops and classes offer a hands-on and designed specifically to address the needs of youths and young adults.

As a part of our community growth and community partnership initiative, we also offer programs, workshops, classes and events where families and the community are encouraged to engage, i.e. our young parents workshops, Paying for College and What's Normal Parent Group.

This program is offered only during the school year.

KAPPS is a service-learning program that focuses on bridging the gap and building positive relationships and connections with todays youths and police officers. This signature program has teamed up with several law enforcement precincts, school districts, probation services, judges, law students, veterans and military branches that will team up together to mentor, guide and build positive relationships, including a service-learning project. 

The KAPPS program is curriculum-based with open discussions, interactive lessons, and community-build. The curriculum includes lessons and discussions on issues like; truancy, drugs, bullying, dating violence, avoidance of gangs, conflict resolution and other youths and teens issues, including social distancing between youths/teens and police.

Contact us if you would like KAPPS implemented at your school, facility or center. 

We are also looking for volunteers. So, if you are in one of the mentioned fields or a student seeking a degree in one of the fields, please contact us. We are a 501c3 and will be honored to help you with securing your Capstone placement and credits.

What’s Normal?! Is a girls only club that addresses and prepares girls for changes they may experience during puberty. Providing education and ongoing support in a group setting will help girls emotionally and mentally. Normalizing the change in their bodies inside and out can boost both confidence and self-esteem.

Mission

To educate and empower girls about the change in their bodies inside and out during puberty, so that they can be confident, informed and prepared.

Goals

To normalize puberty; To provide access to information, support and supplies; Build unity and support amongst girls.

This program is only offered during the school year for ages 3 1/2 to 5 years of age.

Let’s Pretend with Queen B & Me is a fun class where kids can dress up as their favorite princess, prince, queen, king or knight. We will also offer several super shero and hero days. This exciting class not only consists of dressing up but will include taking part in a creative story time building, a tea [tea, lemonade or juice] party with a light snack [i.e. tea cakes, cookies or cupcakes, etc.], make-up and or nail painting [which are optional] and ending with a mini runway show and photos.

Alpha Sprouts offers personality, individuality and independency building workshops for pre-kindergarteners and parents who want to help set their daughters up for success as they enter kindergarten. After successfully completing all 3 Alpha Sprouts workshops, she will be eligible to enroll as a member of the Alpha Female League Club, where she will begin her journey to becoming a “Strong, Confident and Ambitious Woman [Leader].”

My Sisters Keeper is a safe space for middle and high school girls and college freshmans. My Sisters Keeper is designed to create positive connections that will improve the love and respect of black and brown girls and young women through social engagement, education, and empowerment. 

Our mission is to reduce disrespect, divide, violence, bullying and increase the love, unity and sisterhood to produce changed behavior among young minority girls, teens and young women. 

This change will be implemented through love, support, education, intervention, communication, mediation, prevention and accountability.

Breakfast with S/HEROS is a special event for kids ages 3 to 8 years old, boys and girls!

Dress as your favorite hero/shero and get photo ops with a hero during this AWEAOME event! There will be additional photo opportunities and parents can have their little hero or shero take pictures with a superhero [additional cost for photos].

NO DROP OFF for this event. Parents must stay onsite. There will be a parent area and a parent ticket will be available for purchase if they would like to join their little s/hero for breakfast.
