ABOUT THE LEAGUE
ALPHA FEMALE LEAGUE INC was founded by Barbara Davis in 2015 as a youth Greek organization. It became a 501c3 nonprofit organization in April of 2017 and is also known as the Alpha Leagues. Like time, Alpha Female League Inc is changing, and although we are making changes and rebranding, we still stand on building a foundation where women of color and others can grow and thrive.
Although AFL is changing and rebranding, we will ALWAYS be about the building of strong women and sisterhood, with a continued dedication and commitment to women of color. In addition, Alpha Female League Inc still offers the youth Greek program, as a club. With that being said, you can’t have growth without change and you can’t have change without growth. As of 2022 we have added limited programs and services for young men of color, veterans and seniors.
The Alpha Leagues is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering primarily minority girls and women, to achieve their fullest potential, by providing educational, leadership, volunteer and service-learning opportunities and other events. Established in September 2015, as a youth Greek Organization, we continue to be a unique organization that offer creative programs, workshops, events, etc. where participants can cultivate and grow into strong future leaders while overcoming adversities of race, financial hardships, residential demographics and or other barriers.
Through community service, acts of kindness, ambition, and a strong desire for excellence, AFL has accomplished and grown so much and is looking forward to reaching new heights as we continue to add new programs and build more partnerships.
