THE ALPHA LEAGUES PROGRAMS AND WORKSHOPS

The Alpha Leagues programs provides a holistic approach that focuses on creating a developmentally appropriate learning setting for young people. Programming’s are designed to empower and meet young people at every stage of development, and provide supportive services that nourishes them to thrive. 

Our programs and services allows everyone to get involved, help build friendships, and strengthen self-worth in addition to developing future leaders. Our workshops and classes offer a hands-on approach and designed specifically to address the needs of youths and young adults. We also offer select programs for seniors and veterans.

As a part of our community growth and community partnership initiative, we also offer programs, workshops, classes, sports and more, where families and the community are encouraged to engage, i.e. Paying for College Cummunity Event.

What’s Normal?! Is a girls only workshop that addresses and prepares girls for changes they may experience during puberty. Providing education and ongoing support in a group setting will help girls emotionally and mentally. Normalizing the change in their bodies inside and out can boost both confidence and self-esteem.

Mission

To educate and empower girls about the change in their bodies inside and out during puberty, so that they can be confident, informed and prepared.

Goals

To normalize puberty; To provide access to information, support and supplies; Build unity and support amongst girls.

This program is only offered during the school year for ages 3 1/2 to 5 years of age.

Let’s Pretend with Queen B & Me is a fun class where kids can dress up as their favorite princess, prince, queen, king or knight. We will also offer several super shero and hero days. This exciting class not only consists of dressing up but will include taking part in a creative story time building, a tea [tea, lemonade or juice] party with a light snack [i.e. tea cakes, cookies or cupcakes, etc.], make-up and or nail painting [which are optional] and ending with a mini runway show and photos.

This program is offered only during the school year.

My Sisters Keeper is a safe space for middle and high school girls. My Sisters Keeper is designed to create positive connections that will improve the love and respect of black and brown girls and young women through social engagement, education, and empowerment. 

Our mission is to reduce disrespect, divide, violence, bullying and increase the love, unity and sisterhood to produce changed behavior among young minority girls, teens and young women. 

This change will be implemented through love, support, education, intervention, communication, mediation, prevention and accountability. 

Program Site: Walnut Hill Recreation Center, Dallas, TX. Program start September 2026.
